I bet you forgot that we are not an interview show….we certainly did. Lucky for you, we eventually remembered that we are a baking show!!

Nope….that is not right….Are we a winter sports show?

Does not feel accurate! Oh, we are a show that talks about haunted houses and ghosts!h

"NO YOU IDIOTIC HATCHLINGS! THIS IS A SNARK SHOW!"

Close....we are a Power Pack show. And in this issue, we have the prelude to the Snark Wars. Before that storyline can start, we decided to let the kids play in the snow. What could possibly go wrong?

Oh, yeah...Alex can behave like a possessive jerk and get into a brawl with another kid. That seems about right.

But at least they can trust Jarvis!

Just sit back, have a nice bath,

Episode 30: Power Pack #23

 

Do you ever wake up and realize that life is just not going your way.... You were taking a nice nap, frozen in the ice, and then you get yanked back into the real world...

Yeah, I just got back from vacation, and I realized that I had not prepped this synopsis.  And that just makes me cranky. Kinda like this.

Ya see, when the Fantastic Four vacation, they do not mess around. They pack everything. And they have to, I mean, how else can they show their powers. 

Power Pack just packs Jack.

Ok, time to get serious. The kids have been kidnapped and are being forced to find the hidden and frozen Jakal, and then are flown across the universe.  I wonder how they feel about this, wonder if they will fight?

Oh yeah....they will fight.  Yes...They will fight. They will also escape, but find them selves on Snarkworld.  

But I am sure everything will turn out fine. Nothing bad will happen to anyone.

Episode 31: Power Pack #24

I would like to apologize for the low energy in this episode. Rick was not feeling well, so we can just blame it on him.

And it is a shame too, because this is a pretty good issue. Sure, it starts off in a dark cave with Katie drowning in a pool of water, and the other Power kids are still captured, and Franklin runs away from home, and Kofi is shot at……

Hang on…..this sounds horrible!  Why would anyone do this to a bunch of kids! I thought this was supposed to be a happy, silly, kids book!?!?  What is going on with all of this capturing, torturing, maiming, and war!

Don’t worry folks, low energy Rick or not, this duo of daddies will dust themselves off and deliver you, our listeners, a delightful detailed description of these deeds. So sit back, relax, and listen to the gentle popping of lava bubbles.

Episode 32: Power Pack #25

With Special Guest-Star, Kwanza Osajyefo!!

Jeff and Rick are proud to have Kwanza join them for their double-sized, 25th issue special event. We really needed the extra help. We have Jakal brimming with power, Katie brimming with defeat, Maraud brimming with overconfidence and Bhadsha brimming with poison. There is just a lot of brimming going on around here...and we do not like it... OK, we like Katie brimming with power, but not Jakal.

We actually like a lot n this book. This is a fantastic issue with a mess of stuff going on. The writer and artists are swinging for the Snark equivalent of the fences, and they are connecting. Man, I really love to mix my metaphors.

I guess what we are saying is that you really should drag your friends over to listen to this podcast. And if they resist, improvise.

But for now, let me tell you more about our guest. Kwanza is, in his own words,

...a story-maker – cobbling together tales made of little daydreams, memories, and discoveries.

We really could not say it better ourselves. He is a lifelong fan of Power Pack, and is also the writer of a an amazing series of books, Black and Black: America's Sweetheart, both by Black Mask Studios. And he has more coming out, including a title from Humanoids called Ignited with Mark Waid.

Episode 33: Power Pack #26

Take me home...old country roads...to the planet...I am from!!!!

There is a reason I do not sing, but I cannot remember why? Anywho, the kids are heading home from their space oddity. And is a good thing too. I mean, the Power Parents are worried, Cloak and Dagger are getting all fidgity…..and the Fantastic Four even noticed….I mean, look, they left a note!

There is not much action in this comic, but that is ok. Instead, we have some really good character beats and moments, and a scene where Jack grabs Dagger. But mostly, this is about families and dads. Which is good, because we got two big daddies bringing you this fantastic Power Pack action. And there is also this moment where Alex seems to have forgotten talking to Katie back in issue number 13....

Episode 34: Power Pack #27

Yes! We have the most awesome and excellent Miles on our show…..because it is about time we did!  Ok...to be fair, that may not have worked as well as I wanted it to. Moving on, don’t look back! This episode is the intense Mutant Massacre crossover. While primarily focusing on the mutant X-Titles, the Simonsons decided to bring in their own properties of Thor and Power Pack to witness the horrific death and destruction brought on by the Marauders…..yay? Don't you worry none, there is some fun stuff too...I guess.

 And what do our sweet, sweet kids have to endure? Just death, violence, a nearly shirtless Wolverine, and Sabertooth. So grab your galoshes and check your Red Cross Donor card, because it is time to go back in the sewers!

Like always, if you don't want to listen you don't have to...but if you don't, guess what....Jack will hit you....and you would not want that.

Episode 35: Jeremy Whitley Interview

We had the amazing opportunity to speak with Jeremy Whitely, the writer of Princeless, My Little Pony, the Unstoppable Wasp, and the upcoming Future Foundation comic which will feature Alex and Julie Power!

Jeremy has an amazing skill with writing all ages comics, specializing in developing solid characters with unique personalities. We had a wonderful time talking to him about his past work and his upcoming series, which comes out August 7, 2019!

Good morning campers, and welcome to a new day...well actually it is the same day from the last issue where our awesome adolescents climbed out of the sewers after facing Stephen King levels of horror. Instead of returning home, they have gone to the Avengers Mansion. Why you might ask, 'cause Franklin is sad and wants his parents.

A little light breaking and entering later, with some minor property damage, the kids sit down for flapjacks with some of Earth's mightiest heroes.

So what is in this issue, well holy space junk....we have two clobberin' time sightings!?!? What else do we have? Oh, the Fantastic Four making some fascinating choices while in space.

Episode 37: Power Pack #29

With Special Guest-Star, Tim Price!!

We have the fantastic honor to host one of our favorite, and first fans, Tiiiiiiiiim Price! (insert Price is Right sound effects here).  Tim, a serial podcast listener, fried chicken eater, and commentator, has been a long time Power Pack fan and a great supporter of our show. He flew in and asked us really nicely if he could cover this episode with us....that should have been a sign.

What to say about this issue...well, first of all, most of what you need to know is on this cover. We have Spidey, Hobgoblin, Alex and Johnny Rival fighting, a gun, and a whole lotta chicken talk. This also kicks off the Alex/Crack story arc, so hang onto your pigeons, 'cause things are about to get serious.

Look, I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I told you to keep hold of your birds. I am not responsible for all of the aviary accidents around here. Just keep your fowl comments to yourselves. And don't you dare preen in front of me, Mr. Rooster, I will not stand for that. Awww.....have I gone and hurt your little soft and feathery feelings?  Does someone need a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a hug? Well pluck up and fly right because these chickens have come home to roost and this poultry won't tell it's own story. The fox is in the hen house, we have counted our eggs before they have hatched and a bird in the stone is worth two bushes........I may have just cracked.
